The SPA 2 team, known as the San Fernando Valley Youth Alliance, is a youth-led group rooted in lived experience and collective action. The team addresses youth homelessness through a combination of direct support, community engagement, and policy advocacy.

Over the past year, members have led multiple resource distribution efforts, providing hygiene supplies, warm clothing, tents, and sleeping bags to youth facing immediate housing insecurity. These actions prioritize dignity, care, and peer-led support.

In addition to local outreach, the team has elevated youth voices at the state level, including participation in advocacy efforts supporting SB 492. By building partnerships and engaging across systems, SPA 2 demonstrates the power of youth leadership to drive both immediate relief and structural change.
