SPA 4 | Young Adult Steering Council

AGENCY

The Young Adult Steering Council (YASC) is a youth-led body shaping advocacy, policy development, and systems change in SPA 4. Centering the leadership of Transitional Age Youth and TAY+, YASC focuses on power-sharing, community care, and youth governance within the homeless response system.

The council has formalized its structure through a charter, leadership selection, and advocacy for compensated youth roles. YASC has also led outreach to service providers and developed youth-led engagement spaces designed to foster resilience, political education, and community connection.

Through qualitative research, media strategy, and cross-sector collaboration, YASC continues to redefine how youth shape funding, policy, and systems that impact their lives.
